Your Donation Honors Rabbi Stephen Einstein
Our Beloved Gala Honoree, Rabbi Stephen Einstein models living Torah, the values of welcoming, hospitality and kindness. He began his career in the 1970s welcoming all who were interested in Judaism to learn more; this was a time when it was still common practice for prospective converts to be rejected three times. After 50 years of teaching Introduction to Judaism, Rabbi Einstein is proud to have engaged over 2000 students.
On a regional level Rabbi Einstein helped create the Sandra Caplan Community Bet Din, a rabbinical court that is based on the values of welcoming, kindness and sensitivity; Rabbi Einstein served as Treasurer, as S'gan Av Bet Din and now serves as Co-Chair of the Board of Governors.
Help us honor Rabbi Einstein's work and the work of the Sandra Caplan Community Bet Din to which he has been dedicated. We are raising money to create 35 scholarships of $360 each to support candidates for whom finances are a barrier to conversion.
We are a 501 (c)(3) EIN 45-5254684.
