Have fun while learning the aleph-bet (script or block print), key words for Prayerbook and Biblical Hebrew, to read prayers and follow along in Humash.  Homework required.

10 weeks, 75 minutes on Zoom/week:  Tues., October 6 to December 8, 7 – 8: 15 pm PST

Taught by Rabbi Daniel Chorny who is a proud Hebrew nerd. Having grown up in a multi-lingual family, his passion for languages fueled him during his time at the Jewish Theological Seminary, where he was ordained in 2014. Rabbi Chorny lives with his wife, Rabbi-Cantor Hillary Chorny, and two children, Ella and Yossi, in Los Angeles. Among his many projects, he serves the community of Temple Ner Shalom of San Luis Obispo, is a Conversion Mentor for Darshan Yeshiva, and an instructor of Hebrew grammar for the Academy for Jewish Religion California.
