This session will explore the Jewish rituals that   support us in times of pain. We will also share   our  own rituals. We will try and answer the   difficult  questions:

  • How can we cope with loss? With what comes before the loss, and after the death of a loved one?
  • How can Jewish life help us do that? Individually/communally?

Instructor:  Tamar Ghidalia (she/her) is a Jew of Color of Sephardic (Spanish) heritage who was born in Tunisia, fled with her family to France, and subsequently immigrated to Israel and then to the U.S. She has a B.A. in Education and Hebrew Literature from Paris Sorbonne University and a B.A. in Music from the Conservatoire de Paris.
